Gameday Without the Permit Hunt

The rest of TCU’s 2026 home schedule at Amon G. Carter Stadium, and how a gameday works when nobody in the group is driving. QTS picks you up, gets you to the tailgate, waits through the game, and takes everyone home — or on to West 7th.

Kickoff times are added as the Big 12 announces them. Played games drop off the list automatically.

The bottom line: TCU has three home games left in 2026: Kansas on Halloween, Kansas State on November 14 and Utah on November 21, the last home game of the season. Gameday on Campus

What Makes a TCU Gameday Hard to Drive

The stadium is easy to find. The campus around it on a Saturday is the problem.

The bottom line: Gameday parking around Amon G. Carter Stadium is mostly permit or pre-paid and sells out early, the streets ringing campus back up before kickoff and crawl afterward, and the tailgate starts hours early. A chauffeur removes the permit, the parking walk and the question of who drives home.

Permit lots and enforced streets

Campus lots on gameday are largely permit-controlled, and the residential streets around TCU are actively enforced. Public options push you blocks away. With a drop-off, nobody in the group needs a permit at all.

Berry Street and University Drive

The roads around campus back up well before kickoff and empty slowly after it. Your chauffeur approaches from the side the queue is not on and stages off the choke points for the exit.

Frog Alley and the tailgate

The tailgate scene fires up hours before kickoff. If your group is tailgating, a Sprinter or party bus becomes the base, and nobody is deciding at halftime who is sober enough to drive.

Halloween night against Kansas

The October 31 game lands on Halloween, so the campus crowd and the Fort Worth Halloween crowd are out at the same time. One booking can cover the game and the night after it — see Halloween transportation for how that runs.

After the Final Whistle

From the Stadium to West 7th or the Stockyards

For a lot of groups the game is the middle of the day, not the end of it.

The bottom line: Because the chauffeur is booked as-directed, the ride home can turn into dinner on West 7th, a stop in Magnolia or a night in the Stockyards without a new booking. Tell dispatch the plan up front and the window is set to fit.

Can we add stops after the game?

Yes — that is what as-directed service is for. Give dispatch the rough plan when you book so the window covers it; adding time on the night depends on what else is running.

Coming from Dallas or the airport?

Alumni and families flying in for a game can be collected at DFW International or Love Field and brought straight to campus.

Choosing the Vehicle

Which Vehicle Fits Your Gameday Group

Group size picks the vehicle; the tailgate usually picks the size.

The bottom line: Up to six people fit an executive SUV. A tailgate crew of seven to fourteen wants a Mercedes Sprinter, and anything larger a party bus, minibus or coach — dedicated to your group from the first pickup to the last drop-off.

GroupVehicleHow it runs
1–3Executive sedan or SUVRound trip, or as-directed if the night has more than one stop.
4–6Executive SUV (Yukon XL / Escalade)Round trip, or as-directed. Uses the passenger drop-off.
7–14Mercedes SprinterDedicated to your group for the whole outing.
8–20Stretch limousineDedicated for the outing; meets you at a nearby legal pick-up point.
20–45Party busDedicated for the outing; meets you at a nearby legal pick-up point.
24–56Minibus or motorcoachDedicated for the outing, start to finish.

Gameday Questions

TCU Gameday Transportation FAQ

What groups ask dispatch most often before a TCU home game.

The bottom line: Book the date now and set the pickup once the Big 12 announces the kickoff. With a chauffeur there is no permit to buy. Your chauffeur stays through the game, and larger vehicles meet you at a nearby legal pick-up spot rather than on campus.

Where is Amon G. Carter Stadium?

On the TCU campus at 2850 Stadium Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76109 — the open-air, roughly 47,000-seat home of TCU football, about five miles southwest of downtown Fort Worth.

When are TCU kickoff times announced?

Big 12 kickoff times are set by the TV networks and are often announced only one to two weeks before the game. Book the date now; dispatch sets the pickup once the time is out and you confirm it at gofrogs.com.

Do we need a TCU parking permit if QTS drives?

No. Gameday lots around the stadium are largely permit or pre-paid, but with a chauffeur there is no car to park. If someone in your group drives their own car, buying the correct gameday permit in advance is strongly recommended, and getting the right one is on them.

Does the chauffeur wait through the game?

Yes. TCU gamedays are booked as dedicated, as-directed service: pickup, the tailgate, the game, and the ride home — or on to West 7th or the Stockyards afterward — with the same chauffeur.

Where does a party bus drop us at TCU?

Executive SUVs and Sprinters can usually drop close to the stadium. Stretch limousines and party buses have no designated staging area on campus, so those groups meet the chauffeur at a nearby legal pick-up spot that dispatch confirms when you book.
