How far is Galveston from Dallas-Fort Worth, and how long does the drive take?
The Port of Galveston is about 292 miles from Dallas and roughly 300 miles from Fort Worth and DFW Airport — a 4.75 to 5 hour drive straight down I-45. Add 30 to 60 minutes during summer weekends and holiday sailings, when traffic through Houston backs up. What time should we leave DFW for a Galveston cruise?

Do you pick us up when the ship returns?
Yes, and this is the leg most people underestimate. Debarkation runs in waves and can take a couple of hours from docking to curb. We monitor the ship's arrival and your chauffeur is staged nearby, so you call or text when you clear customs and the vehicle comes to you. No standing on Harborside Drive with luggage trying to find a ride home.
How much luggage can we bring?
As much as your cabin can hold. There are no bag fees and no overhead-bin math. An executive SUV takes a family's cruise luggage with passengers seated comfortably; a Mercedes Sprinter handles a large group's bags plus carry-ons; and our minibuses and motorcoaches have dedicated luggage bays. Can you take a large group — a family reunion or a full cruise party?
Yes. Group cruises out of Galveston are one of the most common reasons people call us. Executive SUVs cover a family, Mercedes Sprinters handle 14, and our executive minibuses and 56-passenger motorcoaches move an entire party in one vehicle so everyone arrives together and checks in together. Do you serve Oklahoma City, Texarkana and Tyler, or only DFW?
We run the full corridor. Oklahoma City is about 495 miles and 7.25 hours to the port, Texarkana about 370 miles, and Tyler about 255 miles. Longer runs like OKC and Tulsa are usually booked as a departure the day before with an overnight near the port, which is far easier on a family than a pre-dawn start. Can you pick us up in Houston, Austin or San Antonio instead?
Yes. Houston is the shortest run at roughly an hour, and we have long-standing chauffeur partners there, which makes same-day and short-notice Houston pickups straightforward. Austin is about 3.5 hours and San Antonio about 4 hours to the terminal. Waco, College Station and the I-45 corridor are all served as well.
What if our flight into Texas is late, or the ship's return is delayed?
We track it. For cruise passengers flying into DFW, Hobby, Bush Intercontinental or Austin before the sailing, your chauffeur watches the flight and adjusts to the actual landing time. On the return, we watch the ship. Delays are the normal condition in cruise travel, not the exception, which is why we quote the trip around your real schedule rather than a fixed pickup slot.
