Holiday Shows

Holiday Concerts, Shows
& Seasonal Event Transportation

December fills the DFW performance calendar — symphony programs, touring productions, ballet, choral concerts and family shows across Dallas and Fort Worth. The transportation problem is identical at all of them: two thousand people leaving one building at the same moment.

The Curtain-Down Problem

Every Show Ends at Once. That Is the Whole Problem.

Arriving at a venue is easy. Leaving it, with two thousand other people, in December, is where the evening is won or lost.

The bottom line: A performance releases its entire audience within about five minutes. Every parking lot exit, every rideshare pin and every curb outside the venue is loaded simultaneously. A pre-arranged chauffeur is already staged when the curtain comes down, which is why QTS quotes holiday shows as round-trip service with the driver waiting rather than as a drop-off.

Why not just book a ride home when the show ends?

Because so does everyone else, at the same minute, from the same ZIP code. Surge pricing is the least of it — the real cost is standing outside a theater in December waiting for a driver who is stuck in the same exit queue you would have been in. For an evening that started with dressing up and a pre-theater dinner, that is an unpleasant way to finish it.

What QTS does instead

Your chauffeur collects the group, waits through the performance, and is staged and ready when you come out. They text their exact position during the interval or before the finish, so you walk out of the venue and into the vehicle. It is booked as one dedicated, as-directed window rather than two separate legs, which is also why a show that runs twenty minutes long is not a problem.

No Waiting in December

The vehicle is already there. For an older relative, a group in evening wear, or a family with children past their bedtime, that is the entire value.

Dinner Before, Show After

One booking covers the restaurant, the venue and home. The chauffeur waits at both, so the evening is not three separate transport decisions.

Nobody Skips the Interval Drink

If the company or the host is buying, having a designated driver in the party defeats the purpose. A chauffeur solves it.

Parking Stops Mattering

Downtown Dallas and the Fort Worth cultural district in December are not places you want to be circling for a space forty minutes before curtain.

DFW Performance Venues

The Rooms Where DFW Puts On Its Holiday Program

Each venue has its own approach and its own staging reality. Your chauffeur plans around the building, not around a generic pin.

The bottom line: Holiday programming across DFW runs at the downtown Dallas arts venues, Bass Performance Hall and Ariat Arena (formerly Dickies Arena) in Fort Worth, the American Airlines Center for arena-scale touring shows, and a range of theaters and casino showrooms across the Metroplex. QTS serves all of them, and the difference between venues is where the vehicle can legally stage, not whether we go.

Which venues does QTS cover for holiday shows?

All of them across the Metroplex and beyond — the Dallas Arts District venues, Bass Performance Hall and Will Rogers in Fort Worth, Ariat Arena, the American Airlines Center, the Majestic, theaters in Irving and Grand Prairie, and the casino showrooms north of the Red River. Our concert transportation page covers the venue-by-venue detail, and the DFW events calendar lists what has a published date.

What is actually on this December?

We deliberately do not publish a list of shows and dates here. Holiday programming is announced on the venues’ own schedules and changes through the fall, and a transportation company reprinting last year’s line-up is how people end up driving to something that is not on. Check the venue or the ticketing site for what is playing and when, buy your tickets there, and send dispatch the venue and the curtain time.

Where will the vehicle actually be waiting?

Worth knowing before the night. An executive SUV or a Mercedes Sprinter can usually stage close to a venue entrance. A stretch limousine or a party bus generally cannot — most venues have no designated staging area for larger vehicles, so your group meets the chauffeur at a nearby legal pick-up point instead of at the doors. Dispatch confirms the exact spot at booking and your chauffeur texts it again on the night.

Do we need to sort out parking?

Not if you are riding with us. If somebody in the party insists on driving separately, buying the correct parking pass for that venue in advance is strongly recommended, and choosing the right pass for the right lot is on the driver. In the Fort Worth cultural district and around the Arts District in December, that is not a decision to leave until the evening.

Booking Shapes

Three Ways People Book a Holiday Show Evening

The booking shape follows the evening, not the headcount. Most fall into one of three.

The bottom line: A show evening is normally booked one of three ways: a straightforward round trip with the chauffeur waiting, a dinner-and-show window covering both venues, or a group booking for a family outing or corporate box. All three are dedicated as-directed service — QTS does not sell a bare drop-off at a major venue, because the drop-off is the easy half.

ShapeHow it runsBest for
Round trip, driver waitsCollected at home, chauffeur waits through the performance, home afterCouples, small family groups, anyone with an early start the next day
Dinner and showOne window covering restaurant, venue and home, chauffeur waiting at bothAnniversaries, client evenings, groups making a night of it
Group or family outingSprinter or shuttle, multiple pickups, one vehicle for the whole partyExtended family at a holiday family show, or a corporate box

How early should the pickup be?

Plan to arrive at the venue about forty-five minutes before curtain in December, and work the pickup time backwards from that with your dispatch contact. Holiday audiences arrive earlier than regular-season ones, the bars and the merchandise queues are longer, and the roads around the major venues thicken noticeably from about an hour out.

What about a corporate box or client evening?

Same mechanics, different billing. A client evening at a holiday show runs on a corporate account with consolidated or itemized invoicing and no expense claims from anybody. See corporate and executive service for how accounts are set up, or tell dispatch when you request pricing and we will do both at once.

Show Night Questions

Holiday Show Transportation FAQ

What DFW audiences ask dispatch before a December performance.

The bottom line: Book two to three weeks ahead for December, and earlier for a group vehicle. Your chauffeur waits through the performance rather than dropping you off. Plan to arrive about forty-five minutes before curtain. Rates are fixed at booking.

Does the chauffeur wait through the show?

Yes. QTS quotes holiday show evenings as dedicated, as-directed service — you are collected, the chauffeur waits through the performance, and they are staged and ready when you come out. It is not sold as a bare drop-off, because getting to a venue was never the hard part of the evening.

How early should we be picked up?

Aim to be at the venue around forty-five minutes before curtain in December, and work backwards from there with dispatch. Holiday audiences arrive earlier than usual, the queues inside are longer, and traffic around the major venues builds from about an hour before the show.

Can you handle dinner before the show?

Yes, and it is one of the most common December bookings. One window covers the restaurant, the venue and home, with the chauffeur waiting at both stops. It is simpler than two bookings and it means the reservation running late does not become a transport problem.

Which venues do you serve?

Every major performance venue across the Metroplex — the Dallas Arts District, Bass Performance Hall and Will Rogers in Fort Worth, Ariat Arena, the American Airlines Center, the Majestic, the Irving and Grand Prairie theaters, and the casino showrooms to the north. Our concert transportation page has the venue detail.

What shows are on this December?

Check the venue or ticketing site directly. Holiday programming is announced on each venue’s own schedule and shifts through the fall, so we do not publish a line-up here that might be out of date by the time you read it. Buy your tickets from the venue, then send dispatch the venue name and curtain time.

Will the car pull up at the venue entrance?

An executive SUV or Sprinter usually can. A stretch limousine or party bus generally cannot — most venues have no designated staging area for larger vehicles, so your group meets the chauffeur at a nearby legal pick-up point. Dispatch confirms the exact spot when you book.

How far ahead should we book a December show?

Two to three weeks for a standard round trip, and earlier if you need a Sprinter or anything larger. December weekends are the most contested dates in the QTS calendar and the bigger vehicles commit first.

Can we book this on a corporate account?

Yes. Client evenings and corporate boxes run on a QTS corporate account with consolidated or itemized billing and your reference on the receipt, so nobody files an expense claim. Mention it when you request pricing and dispatch will set both up together.
