Cresson sits where Hood, Johnson and Parker counties meet, at the crossing of US-377 and SH-171. Two railroads finished lines through it in 1887, and since 1999 it has been home to MotorSport Ranch, a members’ road-racing club built on a former cattle ranch at the edge of town.
